As of current, four factions exist in Gaia's World. These are Gaia, representing Gaia herself and those who support her, Yile, representing Yile herself and those that support her, the Rebels, representing those who oppose Yile and even Gaia, and finally the Sophont faction, representing the intelligent civilized races of the rest of the world. Sophonts include species such as remaining humans, the elves, dwarves, demons, angels, fairies, and so on.
Having a certain amount of Reputation with each faction allows you to access certain prompts and gain certain rewards. Reputation can be earned or lost depending on each of your character's actions, and this is tracked by a "currency" system in your character's bank. Some actions will be more favorable or detrimental than others, and also takes your character's current reputation with any given faction into account.

How to Read Your Standing
0-4: Kill on Sight
The faction considers you a mortal enemy with active bounties on your head. Members will attack you immediately upon recognition, and you're barred from all faction territories under penalty of death.
5-10: Hostile
Open warfare exists between you and this faction. They will engage you in combat when the opportunity arises and actively work to undermine your goals and allies.
11-15: Despised
The faction holds deep hatred for you and your actions. They will refuse any interaction, spread negative rumors about you, and actively sabotage your efforts when possible.
16-20: Hated
Strong dislike permeates all dealings with this faction. Members will be rude and dismissive, charge excessive prices, and provide false or misleading information.
21-25: Unfriendly
The faction views you negatively and treats you poorly. Expect cold shoulders, inflated prices, refusal of services, and minimal assistance even in emergencies.
26-30: Dismissive
The faction views you negatively but won't go out of their way to cause problems. They'll provide basic services reluctantly, show clear disinterest in helping beyond the bare minimum, and generally treat you as unworthy of their time or attention.
31-35: Wary
Faction members are suspicious of your motives and intentions. They'll watch you carefully, ask probing questions, and hesitate before agreeing to any arrangements.
36-40: Distrustful
The faction is skeptical of your character and actions. They'll demand upfront payment, provide limited information, and keep interactions brief and guarded.
41-45: Cool
Interactions are polite but notably distant and professional. The faction will conduct necessary business but offers no warmth, small talk, or additional assistance.
46-54: Indifferent
The faction has no strong feelings about you either way and treats you as they would any stranger. You receive standard treatment with no special consideration, positive or negative. Standard prices, basic courtesy, and normal business procedures apply.
55-59: Accepting
The faction is willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. They'll listen to your requests fairly and won't assume negative intentions behind your actions.
60-64: Cordial
Pleasant and friendly interactions characterize your relationship. Faction members will engage in small talk, offer basic advice, and provide minor favors when asked.
65-69: Friendly
The faction genuinely likes you and enjoys your company. Expect warm receptions, helpful attitudes, and willingness to go slightly out of their way to assist you.
70-74: Favored
You've earned preferred status with this faction. Members will offer small discounts, priority service, and share useful information about local affairs.
75-79: Respected
The faction holds you in high regard for your actions and character. They'll provide significant assistance, lend resources, and defend your reputation to others.
80-84: Allied
A strong partnership exists between you and this faction. Expect major discounts, access to restricted areas, and active support in conflicts with mutual enemies.
85-89: Honored
The faction trusts you deeply and considers you a valuable ally. You gain access to special services, confidential information, and protected status in their territories.
90-95: Revered
Your reputation with this faction borders on legendary. Members will offer substantial privileges, rare items, and may even risk themselves to aid you.
96-100: Exalted
The faction views you as a hero and champion of their cause. You receive maximum standard benefits, ceremonial honors, and treatment befitting nobility. They may build monuments in your honor and consider you family.
