What are Slime Expeditions?
Slime expeditions, sometimes referred to by other players as slime ventures, are daily promptless 'adventures' for your little Slime companion. Not to be confused with the Slime familiar, the Slime companion has multiple ranks, starting at Weak Slime and ending at Heavenly Slime, for a total of 13 ranks.
Slime expeditions have chances of bringing back all sorts of items, and after the initial setup, are completely free and fast to participate in. They don't require any waiting around on admins, and can be done freely by you, the player, at any time.
Okay That's Great, But How Do I Get A Slime?
It's a little roundabout, to be honest! But you only need to do this process once.
- First, you need to go to Vault's Haven shop, click the Unique Items tab, and purchase a Vault's Contract for 100 PT.
- Next, you'll need to go to Krawft's Crafting, where Vault's Haven recipes should now be available. We recommend trading 55 crafting materials for 55 Silver Coins. Remember that the crafting mats will be selected at random, unless you go through your inventory dropdown, deselect all, and choose the items you don't mind trading. If you have Common Apparel Fragments (gained from certain loot chests), you could trade those instead if you want. Really, anything in this menu will get you Silver Coins, so ultimately it's up to you what you wish to exchange. Just remember you'll need 55 Silver Coins.
- Next, go back into Vault's Haven shop, and purchase 11 Mysterious Goop.
- Next, you will need to craft the item called Slime Expedition Recipes.
Once you have the Slime Expedition Recipes item in your inventory, you'll need to make an Admin Request, and attach the new item from the dropdown in the Inventory section. Be sure to mention in the comments that you want to unlock the Slime Expedition Recipes! An admin will process your request as soon as they can, by unlocking the recipes for you. Once your request is approved, you will have access to the necessary recipes.
- For the next step, you will also require one of the following: , , , in addition to a Jelly Orb, which you can get one for FREE at Gaia's Giveaways. While you're there, also be sure to pick up your Daily Gift! You'll want it to complete this tutorial. You can acquire Blood, Stardust, and Clovers by doing Discovery Cove prompts, trading with other players, or they may sometimes be found in the Donation Shop. You can also attach a Vampire familiar, if you have one, to a spirit in order to guarantee drops of Blood from any rollable activity involving that spirit.
In order get more manually, you will need to participate in Dungeons with a character, acquire Dungeon Gold by clearing and/or repeating floors on purpose, and spend 2 Dungeon Gold per Jelly Orb in the Dungeon Tradepost.
Once you have all of the required items, you're finally ready to craft your first Slime! Time to head back to Krawft's Crafting. (Just in case you forgot, crafting can be accessed from the Activities dropdown in the upper navbar!)
- Go into Slime Expedition under Unlocked Recipes, and click on 01 Weak Slime Creation.
- Click Craft.
Congrats, you should now have your very first Slime! If you get a red popup instead, ensure you have all the required items.
Awesome! Now how do I use this thing?
Did you open that Daily Gift we had you get earlier? If not, open it now! (It will be in your "Public Inventory" inside the Openables category.) Inside will be a random item or currency, as well as a gauranteed currency called Gummies. Gummies are spent in "crafting" the expedition recipes, and are needed to send your new little friend on their expeditions.
Also understand, you don't have to craft one Expedition per day, you can stock up for as long as you wish and spend any saved amount at your leisure. Your Gummies will not disappear just because you choose not to use them right away.
And that's it! You have now created your first slime and sent it out on its first adventure. You'll have to remember to pick up your Daily Gift from Gaia's Giveaways every day to keep crafting expeditions, and your slime can bring back crafting materials, equipment, currency, or rarely, unique items, or more Jelly Orbs that will let you craft more slimes (and combine them for progressively stronger slimes!)
It's also worth mentioning at this point that Kram's Collections, located next to Krawft's Crafting in the Activities dropdown, will give you a reward if you collect Daily Gifts for 30 days without opening them.
Sometimes, unfortunately, your little slime will bring back nothing. You'll have to check your Bank Logs and Inventory Logs to see what your slime brought back, if anything, since the website's coding as of the making of this guide doesn't allow crafting to show what was gained in a direct manner.
Bank or Inventory Logs can be accessed by going to your Bank or Inventory (either worldofgaia.org/bank or worldofgaia.org/inventory, respectively, or accessed through the sidebar links or through your user profile), and then by clicking "View logs..." (These will be near the top of each page.)
Read the most recent of each log carefully to determine what, if anything, you gained from your expedition! If you see the Gummies currency was spent, but don't see a currency or item gain, that means it brought back nothing. If you see multiple crafting mats or other things after the currency was spent, congratulations, your little friend succeeded in its adventures!
