Vayle
The demonic bard

Vayle is a demon elf, as his father was a demon and his mother was an elf. His mother fell for his father when she was young, and as her father tried setting her up to be engaged to another elf in their village, she refused as she wanted to marry the demon. Her father grew disgusted with her and threw her out of the village, where the demon picked her up and took her in.

Vayle was born not too long after, and was raised in seclusion with his parents in their small but quaint home, the three of them happy with their life. Vayle never learned of his mother's plights as he got older.

Story

Vayle grew up thinking he was normal, with his loving parents. His mother taught him practical skills, how to make music and work with nature, and even manners. His father taught him physical skills, magic, how to fly, and as Vayle showed a fascination with music, supported him and taught him many songs. Vayle loved his parents and was very happy, however he was very lonely as well.
As he got older and his parents retired he grew curious of many things. Why did they live alone? Why were they not with others? What happened to the places he heard of in his parent's stories? Were there others out there? He grew more and more lonely and soon said goodbye to his parents to set out on a journey to learn more of the world, to travel.

He sang his songs and entertained himself as he traveled, looking not only for others but also curious of his parent's past. He wanted to meet others of his kind. Unfortunately, when he did find his mother's old home, he was not welcomed into the village, as he looked much too demonic for the elves. Though they might have believed his words, they did not accept him as one of their own.
He spent a few days outside the village, playing his music and singing his songs, and a few of the younger elves watched from a distance and even danced along. Though he was never accepted into the village by most, many would give him food or coin for his tunes; even his cousin came by and offered to get him some clothes, at the pressure of her grandfather to convince the child to move along.

Vayle knew they were scared of his demonic features, so worked to hide them, wrapping his tail around his waist, hiding his wings as a cape, and modifying a hat to help hide his horns better. It seemed to work, and many were a bit more comfortable around the demonic bard, however he soon left the village and continued to travel around, singing songs and spreading tales he hears.
