Unlike other undead who are simply monsters, Daythe, likely because of previously being an angel, or maybe because of the means of which he became undead, retains his sentiance. He struggles with his loss of memory of who he was, but takes it as it comes and has decided he will try his best to use this chance to help others. He is scared that one day he might become a monster, but while he has the chance he uses his skills to their fullest to help others.
Of the few memories he has gotten back, he knows he has a lot of regrets of not being a good person in his past, and thus it shaped him into being the kind of helpful undead angel he is today. He continues to try and keep himself looking nice, or at least as nice as he can, and is careful what he says and how he says it. Because of now being on the other side, he sees a new perspective on how the 'unpure' are treated by fellow angels and wishes to at least correct that behavior in himself towards others.
