It's been a long time since the last changelog! We've been hard at work with many changes and updates recently and not so recently, so this changelog will be a bit of a big one of everything that's happened in the past half year or more.

Upcoming Features, Bugs, and Progress

There are a bunch of things we are still working on that haven't yet been released. Look forward to the following things being fixed/added (hopefully) soon!

  1. We're offering credits to people who assist with making marking examples on the new base, reach out to Wolvenhyde for more info!
  2. We are currently invitation code only because of past issues with bots. If you or a friend wants to join, join the Discord or message a mod and we can provide invite codes. If you have any issues with authorizing your account, please let Wolvenhyde know.
  3. Please report any bugs you might find. Even if you're not sure if it is or not, we appreciate the report!

New Borders, Traits, and Items

Throughout the past half year we've slowly added things here and there, but a while ago we got a bunch of the elemental avatars uploaded. We have far more borders planned, but haven't yet worked on them. You can view the current borders by checking out the Compendium. Most are unlocked by completing Recipe Unlock Prompts for the elemental and universe weapons.

There was also a few items added, namely a handful of familiars which are all (Except the Alien) bosses found in the secret Frozen Mountains Dungeon. Additionally, we removed unenchanted Emblem equipment from the game and replaced them with preenchanted versions. Each emblem has their ascociated effect added to their slots which cannot be removed. Due to having one effect more than emblems, we added the Metal Emblem to the game, and the banner alongside it. Because of the new addition, we replaced the old Brand Name Collection with a new one that requires the single enchanted version instead for each emblem plus the new metal one, as well as edited the Banner collection to include the Metal Banner. If you have previously completed the Brand Name Collection, you are able to recomplete it for the same reward.

The biggest change recently to spirits has been all the new traits. All these new traits and markings are recent additions, and were added to the game to balance out the rarities between Kiji and Tallies for the sake of transfers as well as to fill out the rarities themselves, as many had a lack of traits of one or two rarities in certain trait categories. Some of the traits are restricted to Kiji, and others are restricted to tallies, but many are shared between the two. Only a couple traits are Unique, while the rest are Common-Legendary. You can view each of them in the Compendium in each species' Visual Trait Indexes. All new traits have been added to the Drive as well as the finished Compiled Files. We recommend redownloading them to get all the new traits if you haven't, if you'd like.

Centaurians have also gotten a handful of new traits, including the Rare Mute Mutation, to round out alongside Blind and Deaf, and Appaloosa as a new possible marking. Chimaeric is a new uncommon Mutation to compliment Mutt, that gives them a possible second hair, skin, fur, and eye color. The last new trait for Centaurians is Pedigree, which simply means all the centaurian's blood ancestors are the same breed as it.

New Quest Board Prompt

The Quest Board is a new prompt that has been added to the game. The link for it is on the Bulletin on the Homepage. The prompt is a simple one, that has low requirements and 5 different simple prompts to get the creative juices flowing. Don't feel pressured to do these quests, the payouts are small and never anything too special. The quests will get refreshed every 6 months, or will swap out on the 1st of every month if someone completed that specific quest.

Subgroups and Changes to Traits and Markings

Subgroups are subcategories some trait categories have to differentiate between different traits within the category, such as horns having top horns or forehead horns. Subgroups have always existed for traits, however now they are actually listed in the trait descriptions so people can see it easier! Additionally, since they are now listed, we have added hard limits for subgroups. The limits for subgroups are as follows:
 - Body traits are now limited to 3 textures, 1 covering, 2 effects, 2 modifiers, 3 partial protrusions, and 2 full protrusions with a total of no more than 6 per geno
 - Leg traits are now limited to 1 covering, 2 modifiers, 1 protrusion, and 1 effect per geno
 - Charms still have the max 3 total limit, but now also are limited to 2 auras, 3 companions, 1 audio, and 1 surround per geno
 - Energy Mutations are now limited to 1 colors, 3 areas, and 2 modifiers per geno

If a trait is listed as an add-on, that means it can bypass the limit if you have hit it. There are some traits that are Add-ons only, meaning they cannot be the only trait in the categoy.

There was also 4 markings which had their tiers adjusted:
 - Tabby is now Tier 2 instead of 3
 - Peregrine and Faded are now Tier 4 instead of 3
 - Spotted is now Tier 3 instead of 4

Additionally, there were a ton of traits that had rarity adjustments; like all the new traits, the adjustments were to balance out the rarities between Kiji and Tallies for the sake of transfers as well as to fill out the rarities themselves, as many had a lack of traits of one or two rarities in certain trait categories and too many in another. The following are all the changes:
 - Spiked Cheeks for tallies is now Uncommon instead of Rare, and Fluffy Cheeks for tallies is now Rare instead of Uncommon.
 - Poodle Leg Fur has been changed from Rare to Legendary
 - Butterfly Fins are now Legendary instead of Rare, Side Fin is now Rare instead of Legendary
 - Sail for tallies has been changed from Rare to Legendary
 - Spine is now Uncommon instead of Rare
 - Feathered Spine for tallies is now Legendary instead of Rare, Medium Back Fur for tallies is now Rare instead of Legendary
 - Frill for Tallies has become Rare instead of Legendary, and Kirin Horns for tallies has become Legendary instead of Rare
 - Blackbuck Horns and Ridged Horns for kiji has become Legendary instead of Rare, and Narwhal Horn and Unicorn Horn for kijis has become Rare instead of Legendary
 - Ram Horns have become Rare instead of Legendary
 - Royal Horns have become Legendary instead of Rare
 - Short Horns is now Uncommon instead of Rare
 - Sparkle Trail is now Uncommon instead of Rare
 - Coral is now Legendary instead of Unique
 - Tufted Tail Fur and Arrow Tail Fin are now Common instead of Uncommon
 - Blue Wisps and Red Fire/Clear Bubbles are now Uncommon instead of Rare
 - Scaled is now Uncommon instead of Rare
 - Kelp is now Rare instead of Legendary
 - Small Bottom Fins is now Uncommon instead of Rare
 - Blue Fire and Green Bubbles are now Rare instead of Legendary

Envy and Warrior have been changed subtly. Envy can no longer pull Charity, this prevents too much swapping boosts for rolls and makes it easier for planning and handling. Warrior has changed so that instead of doubling the mobs for the floor, it will instead roll the floor two times. This could end up adding only one extra enemy, or multiple, allowing for a bit more variety and ease rolling.

New Marking Interractions

Marking Interractions have been added to the game! Listed in the marking information, Markings now have optional interractions with other markings. Some markings have more than others, but the description will share the details of the interractions. Players are not forced to interract markings, the interraction is entirely optional! These interractions allow for various effects, whether that's changing the two markings into one new marking, or changing how one marking looks, or even blending the two together!

If you have any new marking interaction suggestions, please let us know!

BLOODLINES: Changes to Centaurian traits and breeding

Bloodlines are a new feature that have been added to Centaurians! They are only interitable via breeding, and have a 90% chance to pass. Centaurians can have a max of 2, one from each parent, but can only pass one to their children. Bloodlines mostly just affect breeding, though can also just be flavor text. There are 4 different Bloodline Categories, with their bloodlines listed in teh description. To avoid trait bloat for bloodlines, Centaurians will just have the category linked in their trait, with the actual bloodline written as a note alongside it.

In order to add these Bloodlines to the game, we have added 50 new Starters to the game! All centaurians, both genos and imports, will be descended by these 50, and will have their lineages edited in the upcoming days. Genos have been edited already to work with the 50 starters being added without changing too much. You are also now allowed to optionally choose one trait to set as Hidden on Centaurians. This can be a marking or a mutation. You can decide this during approval, it is never assigned during the breeding.

Additionally, due to issues with the punnet square system we had in place, Dominant has been renamed to Stable, Recessive has been renamed to Variable, and Weak is a new gene type that has been added to the game. Because of the addition of Weak, 'Added' markings are now no longer listed in the description, since they cannot pass in breedings. We are still going through and changing genos and imports to reflect these changes. On top of this, to allow for some variety in children, there is now a 10% chance Variable markings in centaurians will be suppressed when breeding, and a 20% chance Weak markings will be suppressed. This means they might not pass to the children.

Additionally, markings for Centaurians now have it listed in their descriptions whether they are Recessive or Dominant Alleles. Recessive Alleles mean both parents need to pass it for it to show. Dominant Alleles act as normal, though Dominants can have super versions which mean they’re more expressive. These changes have been reflected in the genos of all centaurians on the site.

Additionally, added markings, if dominant, can be treated as either regular or super. If they are recessive, they can be treated as regular or hidden.

Stat Changes and Guide Updates

As stated in the overview, the base for weak stats has been increased from 1-4 to 1-5, and healthy has increased from 5-8 to 6-10. For health it’s now 2-13 for weak, and 14-25 for healthy. This allows for a middle point for both, and makes the difference between high and low stats far more obvious. No Spirits will have their stats changed due to this change, it will only affect new genos going forward.

Due to the max stat being changed from 8 to 10, Stamina and Strength milestones have also been changed from 10 to 11 for their first milestone.

We've also been hard at work to update guides on the site. Many guides have gotten updates to their layout, information, or simply formatting. We are slowly getting to more guides, which we will update people on the specifics in the next changelog. Notibly, the Adopt Prompt has gotten an update to make it more obvious where to go to adopt, as we noticed many people old and new thinking there were no genos available as they would head to the characters on the user profiles and not the masterlist. If anyone has any suggestions to help make this more obvious or where information on any guide might be lacking or confusing, PLEASE reach out and let us know so we can fix it!
