It's been a bit since we posted the last Changelog, and we have a LOT of changes that have been happening over the past few months. While we're still slowly working on things, hopefully the progress we make in the next few months will also be just as great.

Upcoming Features, Bugs, and Progress

There are a bunch of things we are still working on that haven't yet been released. Look forward to the following things being fixed/added (hopefully) soon!

  1. We are still currently working on updating guides and getting information posted as well as images. If you need any information that is not currently in the guides or would like to help please reach out and we'd be happy to answer any questions or prioritize certain guides!
  2. We're offering credits to people who assist with making marking examples on the new base, reach out to Wolvenhyde for more info!
  3. We are currently invitation code only because of past issues with bots. If you or a friend wants to join the game, join the Discord Server or message a mod/admin and we can provide invite codes. If you have any issues with authorizing your account, please let Wolvenhyde know and she can manually authorize you.
  4. Please report any bugs or issues you might find. Even if you're not sure if it is or not, we appreciate the report!

New Prompts for Summons, Rebirthing, and Item Revealing

For the longest time we have required players to submit summons and rebirths via admin requests since you could only attach one character to prompts, and admin requests allowed multiple characters as well as currency rewards directly from the submission. However we discovered that while the player could only attach one character to a prompt, admins could still attach multiple and those characters could be given currency just like admin requests.

Due to this discovery, we finally decided to make prompts for both Summons and Rebirthing. This should make tracking far easier for both players and admins, as well as make information about both much more easilly found. The only thing that changed is that character codes will now have to go in a form in the description, and admins will attach the characters to the submission themselves. This will allow admins to grant them the currency as well through the prompt.

Besides the new prompts for activities that already exist, we now have a new Spirit Unveiling prompt. This prompt is an alternate way to get new spirits outside of summoning, at the cost of items. This allows you to get a geno that is unrelated to anyone, with completely randomized traits based on a somewhat random luck value, as well is an alternate way to get more genos if you cannot summon or don't want to. Stats are randomized between Weak, Variable, and Healthy, with Variable being a base stat type new to rando rolls that mixes Weak and Healthy stats. You can only submit to the prompt 3 times a month, however.

The last new prompt that was made was for item slot/enchant revealing. While handling it is the same between previously submitting to admin requests and now submitting to a prompt, the prompt lets admins see at a glance what is being submitted for and we can now add more information about slot revealing on the prompt itself for easier access to players.

Changes to Summoning and Geno Editing

Summoning has gotten a large update. The first is the image requirements to allow a character to summon- before we would allow a character to summon if they had a colored image that was over halfbody, regardless of what it was submitted for, which eventually accidently became requiring a fullbody, however now it officially requires a colored fullbody submitted for a prompt, and won't allow characters who only have general art to summon.

Additionally, due to the new spirit unveiling prompt mentioned above, players now have a max of 25 points per month towards summons. This also will help to lower admin workload, as larger summons take longer.
The cost of a summon depends on the spirits involved:
          - 1 spirit summons cost 2 points
          - 2 spirit summons cost 3 points
          - 3 spirit summons cost 5 points
          - 4 spirit summons cost 8 points
          - 5 spirit summons cost 10 points
This limits the max possible summons one can do to 12 a month if they only do single spirit summons.

We've also moved NPC Summon Perms to their own items instead of being in the description of a regular Summon Permission Slip. This allows for easier rolling for Admins, as well as easier tracking and item searching.

The last change to summons we've made are to geno editing items. Previously there was no limit on the number of items one could use to edit their genos; this was to allow freedom for people to get the genos they wanted if they disliked what they got, however this has lead to a problem where no matter what geno you end up with, you can make it practically whatever geno you want, making many genos worthless unless they have legendary or unique traits. Given this issue, we have put a limit on the number of items you can use to edit the geno of your character:
          - Trait Edits, White Outs, and Reality Essence are now limited to 5 max each on a character. These are tracked in the characters inventory to share what they are affecting, however using a Trait Edit to REMOVE markings, mutations, or added traits is free and does not take up a slot. If an item is used to reverse the change or the affected trait is changed via rebirthing, the item is deleted from the inventory and thus the slot is freed up. (For example, if you use a Trait Edit to change the Mane from Braided to Asymmetrical, and then later change it again to Cloudy, the previous Trait Edit is removed so that's only one trait edit 'slot' taken up. Another example is if you use Reality Essence to bring out an Occult Appaloosa, and later decide to use a White Out to hide it again, the Reality Essence is removed from the inventory and neither 'slot' is taken up as the trait returned to its original state.)
          - Chimera Scrolls are also limited to 5 max on a character, tracked the same as the others, however if an item is used to reverse the change or the affected trait is changed via rebirthing, the Chimera Scroll will be returned to your inventory via a grant after deletion and the slot freed up. (Another example for rebirthing, if you've used a Chimera Scroll to change Medium Tail to Long Tail, and rebirthing changes Long back to Medium, the Chimera Scroll will force it back to Long.)
          - Trait Applicators have now been limited to a max of 8 on a single character. Instead of being tracked in the inventory, they are tracked as always in the traits section on the character page itself, however now they say 'Item Added' if added via an applicator. Otherwise, they work the same as always. NOTE: We are aware there are a small handful of characters on the site that are over this limit. They have been grandfathered in, and will be handled individually as needed.
          - Legacy is now also tracked in the inventory, however have recieved a small change. We now require you to submit an image of the character using the base as well, either alongside the Legacy or beforehand, for judging purposes. If submitting it alongside the Legacy, Glam Kits are wavered. Legacy Imports themselves will remain as the main import image but will be listed as 'Legacy' in the tabs on the character page itself while the base will be listed as 'main' despite the Legacy tab being the actual front image.
          - Glam Kits remain the same, however them and Perma Glams are now tracked in inventories with notes on what they are affecting.
          - Debuffers remain the same, there is no limits on their uses.

These limits do not change if the character is Spliced or has Duality. There is no limit on the number of items you can apply at once during approval besides their own individual limits. Additionally, Trait Edits are now allowed to be used to remove Added traits on the character without taking up a slot.

Changes to Equipment

Equipment has gotten a handful of changes, especially a large one recently to enchanted gear.

The first change is rather small. We realized a long time ago that it was hard for players to read or understand if they actually had a Body or Top/Bottom slots free or not when they had low strength. Character and Geno descriptions have now been fixed so the equipment slots reflect the limit better so hopefully it'll be easier for players to understand.

The other change is pretty big. To make wording and tracking easier for players we renamed 'Unenchanted Equipment' to 'Mundane Equipment', but we also went through and consolidated all enchanted equipment from 5 versions (depending on the number of enchants it had) down to only 1 (Which has been duly named 'Enchanted [Item]'). This was not only to help with item bloat and loading times, but also because it was no longer needed and was causing more issues than it was worth.

We spent the time going through every user's inventory and deleting the enchanted items that were being removed and regranting them back with their notes intact. We also had to go through collections, shops, loot tables, and characters to do the same. This means some collections will be far easier than they were before and equipment will be easier to track and hunt down, however one downside is that players will now have to sell equipment in an admin request instead of from their inventory, though it will make selling far easier in that way as you'll be able to see your whole inventory at a glance.

Alongside the change to enchanted equipment we went ahead and changed Equipment Vouchers, removing them from the loot pools for loot bags, treasure chests, packs, and any other openables that may have them. Said items will now just drop enchanted equipment itself, removing the need to have an admin reveal the equipment for you, but you will still need to submit it to get the slots and enchant(s) revealed. Indead of simply removing the vouchers entirely from the game, we repurposed two of them- Changing one to a Mundane version and the other leaving as a random enchanted equipment, and making them openables sold by Ares and Vault respectively.

Collections and Crafting Update

Besides Collections being adjusted due to equipment changes, some collections have gotten additional requirements and rewards, namely the progression collections. If you have previously completed any of the progression collections feel free to submit an admin request and we can get you rewards you missed out on that are new.

Crafting has only gotten two small updates, the first is that holiday equipment crafting has adjusted chances between being enchanted or not, and the number of enchants will now have to be revealed in Item Appraisal. The second is also due to the equipment changes there are four new crafting recipes to convert gear into apparel fragments. Mundane Equipment can now be turned into Common Apparel Fragments, and Enchanted Equipment can now be turned into Uncommon Apparel Fragments. There is a single and a x5 version for both.

Updates to Factions

Faction Reputation on all characters has been adjusted due to changes in the starting reputation for each faction pertaining to each age group. Additionally, there are two new Factions: Wanderer and Monster.

We are still updating the guides with information on the factions, but soon we should have more information on the differences between factions and what they stand for. These two new factions should round out some gaps we had with the previous 4.

The last change with factions is that the Quest Board now has new faction quests available! These quests are meant to be an easy way to get your faction reputation adjusted depending on which faction(s) you plan on being favorable with, without requiring your faction reputation to be at a certain level already. While most of the time they will lower rival faction reputation, they are a good chance to gain favor with factions you need to bring up for other reasons or to complete other quests or lore.

Dungeon Gold and Shop Changes

Dungeon Gold has been increased to 2 gold per cleared floor instead of 1 for trash mobs and 4 instead of 1 for bosses. Additionally, characters that aren’t able to pass the floor but that aren’t forced back will gain 1 dungeon gold on trash mob floors. This is to balance out mechanics and make it easier to purchase much needed items with lower risk of saving up, as well as make bosses more fair and getting knocked back a floor not hurt as badly. All characters with previous dungeon submissions have had their dungeon gold adjusted to account for the change.

We've also started limiting more items in Ares and Vault. Besides the new Equipment Vouchers (Mundane for Ares, Enchanted for Vault), Familiar Vouchers in Ares are now limited stock at 10 a month, and in Vault’s Haven the random den item has been limited to 10 a month, the Ares Favor at 1 a month per user, and the Scroll of Imprints at 2 a year per user. The vouchers and den items will restock at the beginning of the month, so if the stock is out just wait for it to refresh. It is a site-wide stock not per user, similar to the elemental packs, however while the elemental packs restock in a range, these others will always restock to 10 at the beginning of the month.

Changes to Traits, Boosts, and Scrolls/Familiars

There has been a lot of small to medium changes with a handful of traits, boosts, and familiars. To start off, Crested has more sliders you can choose from for your color, which gives a nice 3 variations across the spectrum of colors and shades, however it is still limited. Because of the increase of sliders, we now require players to color pick off the sliders.

Another change was to how we handle Double and Triple Whiskers. Before the whiskers and ends were on the geno/in the traits, however now they are no longer listed and handled similarly to how Subtalleon Double and Triple Wings are handled- meaning the traits are up to player choice, for the most part.

A slightly larger change is a change to Additional Base Coats. We have renamed the additional base coats (Crimson -> Molten, Fruity -> Coppered, Golden -> Gilded, Tainted  -> Mossy, Waterlogged -> Abyssal, and Raven -> Regal). This is not only to help with accuracy for players and admins, but also for hunting down certain traits. This is ONLY for the additional base coat mods, not the base coats themselves. Because of this change, and due to popular opinion on the Discord Server poll put out, they are also now allowed to stack with the base coats of the same color, where previously they had not been able to. This will not change the design at all, but will increase the chance for summons from that character being that color.

That said, if you have a designed character without an additional base coat who has a legendary base coat, we are allowing you to add the legendary base mod of the same color to them for free until October 31st! Just DM an admin or submit a request on the site here.

Next is changes to boosts. Stoneskin's downside was changed from Speed to Attack to make it Magical Energy's counterpart, but also mainly because there were too many things that could bring Speed down so many genos were suffering in their speed stat. Envy now can no longer pull every boost from all others and is now similar to Charity in the sense that it can only pull a max of 8 boosts per enemy only, with a small chance of pulling from allies. This nerf should make Envy a lot safer and more balanced.

The last boost change is that we have removed Negate Fire, Negate Bubbles, and Negate Wisps from the game and pooled them into Negate Charms. This means there is less negates taking up the uncommon pool and allowing a higher chance of other boosts to appear in enchanting and summoning. We are also aware there is enchanted equipment with the old boosts on it, if we see any in submissions we will fix them. If you happen to own any enchanted equipment with the three removed negates feel free to submit an admin request and we will correct them for you.

Because of removing these boosts, a few items have had their effects changed:
          - Scroll of Simplicity has been renamed to Scroll of Soul Catchers
          - Scroll of Listlessness has been renamed to Scroll of Boundaries
          - Scroll of Suppression has been renamed to Scroll of Solidity
          - Scroll of Soul Catchers is now Scroll of Drunkenness and instead gives enemies a 50% higher chance to miss attacks for the submission
          - Scroll of Vinegar is now Scroll of Jingles and instead increases currency gain from the submission by 1.5x
          - Scroll of Vaccum is now Scroll of Mockery and instead prevents bonus non-boost/non-skill/non-familiar effects from enemies to be applied to their allies or yourself
          - Ent has had their effect changed from +Negate Fire to +Resist Soak and +Resist Winded

Speaking of familiars, outside of the Ent, we also edited the effect of the Kraken to balance it better. instead of multiplying 1 random stat by 8x, all stats are now multiplied by 1.25x, with Farmer increasing it further. Additionally, many Summon Familiars have gotten added effects with Farmer adjustments, allowing them to be used more versatilely. Summon familiars that add traits to summons now no longer att their traits to the summon's geno and are instead listed as 'Added'.
