Cautious, quiet, and troubled, Firth is torn between following the purposes he was created for and choosing his own path. He cannot help but yearn for a different life, yet knows not which alternative would give him peace. Firth spends much time searching old ruins and watery graves, seeking answers from the past - his fellow spirits of the present only making him feel more conflicted, not less.
He does find joy in uncovering musty old tomes, forgotten relics, and timeworn treasures. These items rarely have value to more than Firth himself, but they're a welcome distraction from the suffocating pressure of his duties.
